In 2024, it will be fifteen years since Zwart Licht released the debut album ‘ Bliksemschicht . On Wednesday, May 21, they thunder into LantarenVenster again along with support act MAIN.... ready for impact?

The first achievement of Zwart Licht. A timeless masterpiece filled with thoughtful, introspective lyrics of high quality and groundbreaking productions. An album that is both poetic and provocative.

The debut album is a cultural milestone that elevated the hip-hop climate to a higher level. The impact is clear in the praise from critics and the loyalty of fans. ‘Bliksemschicht’ remains a timeless work that will be remembered as one of the most influential albums in Dutch hip-hop history.

In honor of this anniversary, Akwasi, Leeroy, and Hayzee are performing several exclusive shows including in Rotterdam. These will undoubtedly be moments where fans and critics come together to celebrate and acknowledge the legacy of ‘Bliksemschicht’.

This concert has been moved from December 4 to May 21. Ticket holders will be notified. This is what Zwart Licht writes:

We have made a difficult, yet very exciting choice: we are moving our 15-year Bliksemschicht tour. So much is happening around us right now, and it has greatly inspired us. That's why we're diving back into the studio to create new music. ⚡ We want to provide you not only with a strong live show but also with new tracks that truly reflect the present, based on what's happening in the world and within ourselves, alongside nostalgia and classics.

In addition, we want to ensure that we present with the best possible show. By moving the tour, we get the chance to sharpen everything and give you an experience that you will not soon forget.

Good news: the tickets already sold remain valid for the new dates! 🎫 So you don't need to do anything – your place remains reserved. We understand it might be disappointing to wait a little longer, but we promise it will be worth it. New music is coming, and we can't wait to share it with you.

MAIN takes the stage at LantarenVenster as the opening act for Zwart Licht on Wednesday, May 21, with his new project LEEF:TIJD - a personal, raw, and musical journey about fatherhood, growing up, and living in the city.

Jermaine Berkhoudt, known as MAIN, is no stranger to the Rotterdam music scene. As a rapper, vocalist, and performer, he previously came into the spotlight with acts like VanIeder1, Funky Organizers, and MCJR & Th’Acquisition – with whom he won the Sena Grote Prijs van Rotterdam in 2017. After a period of growth, life, and reflection, he's back. With a new sound, new energy, and a new story.

His recently released LEEF:TIJD EP is a prelude to the complete LEEF:TIJD LP, an album focusing on time, struggle, and meaning. The release was kicked off with a unique dinner show at Laurenskerk Rotterdam, and now MAIN brings that energy to LantarenVenster.

MAIN live is a must-see for fans of hip-hop, live music, and Rotterdam culture. His first single KouBoys was released at the beginning of 2025 on all streaming services and perfectly showcases what MAIN stands for: personal, powerful, and contemporary.
